2022 Ford Transit Connect
All you need to know about the Ford Transit Connect
The Ford Transit Connect is the little van of the family. Available as a commercial van or a passenger van, it is designed to meet the needs of both businesses and families needing more space.
Characterized by its maneuverability and abundant space, the Transit Connect (not to be confused with the Transit) also focuses on economy and comfort to please users.
Stylish and pleasant, it has several onboard technologies that make it practical and fun.
Transit Connect van
Look no further. With the Ford Transit Connect passenger van, you get the best of both worlds. It comfortably seats seven passengers and offers ample cargo space. The seating configuration and cargo volume are flexible to fit your needs on the go
You don’t have passengers, but you need space? It only takes a little effort to fold the second and third rows completely flat, and you’ll have the space you need. Add to that easy access through wide-opening rear doors and the optional presence of two sliding side doors (or one, depending on your needs), and you’ll have easy access to all the space available.
This passenger model has three versions: the Transit Connect XL, the Transit Connect XLT and the most refined version, the Titanium. While the engine is the same – it’s the same on all base versions – the main difference between these models is the level of equipment added to the vehicle.
Ford Transit Connect utility van
Businesses and those with transportation needs will be delighted with the Transit Connect utility van. Its cargo space, 4.1 meters long when the passenger seat is lowered, can accommodate all the goods you need. It can carry up to 1,570 pounds on board. It can carry up to 4,129 litres of cargo space and tow up to 2,000 pounds.
Only the XL and XLT versions are available with the utility van option.
A complete equipment
Whether the passenger or the more utilitarian version, the Ford Transit Connect offers all the features you’d expect to find in a Ford vehicle. For example, you have the option of adding the SYNC 3 system as a voice-activated technology. Stay fully connected and focused on the road ahead, with SYNC 3 guiding you along the way. For even more assistance, an optional Enhanced Active Parking Assist feature searches for available parking spaces and helps you parallel park.
The FordPass app is also compatible. There’s also a wireless charging feature for your smartphone.
Even regarding safety, the Ford Transit Connect is beyond reproach. It embeds the features of Ford Co-Pilot 360, a comprehensive set of intelligent driving aids. This includes pre-collision assistance, lane keep assist, high-intensity automatic headlights, cross-traffic alert and a rearview camera.
Two engine choices
Known for its maneuverability, with a turning radius of 13.3 meters and a braking distance of only 43 meters, the Ford Transit Connect is the perfect companion in the city or on the highway.
When it comes to power, the choice is yours. The base versions have a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This gives you 162-horsepower and 144 lb-ft of torque. However, you can add more by upgrading to the optional 2.5-litre engine, which boosts horsepower to 169 and torque to 171 lb-ft. Regardless of the version, torque and power are always transmitted to the front wheels.
Practical, maneuverable and solid, the Ford Transit Connect is the perfect companion for your family or your business. Come and test drive it and talk to our advisors.
